Today, Aljoaib Holdings employs more than 500 engineers, managers and administrative staff and serves as the parent company to a diversified group of businesses with locations throughout Saudi Arabia, GCC and Egypt. Ali Aljoaib establishes Aljoaib Contracting, an oil pipeline construction company
1969
Aljoaib Contracting won bid as a subcontractor to one of ARAMCO’s main oil pipeline contractors
1988
Aljoaib Contracting awarded a 3 year Maintain Potential project with ARAMCO to build 100’s KM of fuel pipelines
1991
Aljoaib Contracting grows to become the largest locally-owned oil & gas pipeline construction company in the Gulf
1992
Ali Aljoaib establishes Aljoaib International Corporation, AIC, a distribution and agent company to the oil & gas industry
1994
Aljoaib Contracting Acquired and Dr. Abdullah Aljoaib establishes Geotechnical Testing Center, GTC, a geotechnical testing lab
1996
AIC awarded a 5-year contract to supply industrial filters to ARAMCO, maintained till 2018
1997
AIC signed an exclusive agreement with WEATHERMATIC in KSA to supply landscape irrigation systems
1998
GTC acquired ISO9001 & SASO certificates and is awarded first contract with Aramco in NDT inspection of ARAMCO projects
2000
GTC awarded KSA Highway & Bridges Evaluation project, evaluation of more than 60,000 km of roads, 5,000 bridges & structures
2004
GTC awarded a 5-year contract with ARAMCO to supply technical staff for drilling operations, maintained till 2018
2006
Aljoaib Holdings establishes Aljoaib Engineering
2008
GTC awarded a 3-year civil materials testing contract with ARAMCO
2009
Aljoaib Engineering awarded by Arriyadh Development Authority to design multiple intersections of major highways in city of Riyadh
2011
Aljoaib Engineering signed contract with the Jubail Royal Commission, RC, for infrastructure design of new industrial zone, Ras Alkhair north of Jubail
2015
Aljoaib Engineering won bid by the RC for development and implementation of Assets Management System in Jubail
2016
GTC’s drilling staff augmentation grows to become the leading contractor with ARAMCO. GTC awarded GIS a 4-year contract with ARAMCO for projects inspection
2017
Aljoaib Holdings launches Sun Capture & Desert Agriculture - aligned with Saudi Vision 2030’s goal of a sustainable future - focusing on solar energy & hydroponic solutions for business and agriculture
2018
Desert Agriculture begins operation of 3 hydroponic pilot plants to grow 3 tons per day of animal fodder in Riyadh and Dammam
